Summer Film School Uherske Hradiste

Summer Film School Uherske Hradiste is the largest non-competition film event in the Czech Republic where thousands of people arrive to watch films, meet guests, friends and enjoy its unique atmosphere every year. It is organised by the Association of Czech Film Clubs. Since 1964 the aim is to extend the event horizon of film clubs members and film enthusiasts (of which forms a large part of high school and college students) and to acquaint them with the cinematic art in new and unusual contexts.

The event is an annual presentation of retrospectives of noted filmmakers and guests and thematic cycles which introduce cinematography of particular nations. It offers a concentrated opportunity to get educated in film and by film. Its programme consists of cycles of lectures, master classes of noted film figures, seminars and panel discussions.
