Tanghalang Pilipino Theater Foundation

Tanghalang Pilipino is the resident theater company of the Cultural Center of the Philippines. Since its establishment in 1987, it has successfully presented nearly 200 full productions within 19 seasons while generating one of the best audience attendance records among CCP’s resident companies.

The Cultural Center of the Philippines or simply the CCP is located in Pasay City and the City of Manila, Metro Manila, the Philippines, and was opened in 1969 to promote and preserve Filipino arts and culture, and to become a mecca of culture and the arts in Asia.

Many of the Tanghalang Pilipino Theater Foundation's productions have been critically acclaimed by both local and international critics. The company maintains a regular training programme for actors through its Actors Company. It also encourages Filipino playwrights to create new works even as it produces adaptations as well as translations of classic and contemporary materials. It hopes to bring to the experience of both artists and audience the best of Philippine and global theater tradition.
