Museum of New Zealand Te Papa Tongarewa is New Zealand’s national museum. Located in Wellington it is a major international tourist attraction renowned for being bicultural, scholarly, innovative, and fun. Commonly known as Te Papa or Our Place the name Te Papa Tongarewa broadly translates as "the place of treasures of this land."

Te Papa’s collections span five areas: Art, History, Pacific, Māori, and Natural Environment. Their exhibitions are interdisciplinary and interactive, and the museum hosts a range of dynamic events and education programmes. They also have thriving commercial enterprises, including a publishing division, conference operations, and retail stores.
