Research can be for Cambodians searching for their missing loved ones, for children and youth eager to learn about the Khmer Rouge period, or for academic researchers wishing to know more about this terrible period of recent history. The museum aims to promote peace in the hope that the crimes of the Khmer Rouge period are not repeated. Visitors are encouraged to use the resources of the museum. Currently, the museum has 3 main programs: education, outreach programme, and training.
