Women's Film Festival In Seoul

Ever since its inception in 1997, WFFIS has contributed to Filmmaking in Asia by introducing films made about women and by women with female points of view representing the world through film. Being basically non-competitive, with the exception of the "Asian Short Film & Video Competition", this international film festival has received a lot of media attention as the bustling crowds of deeply supportive audience members . Special events, such as an international forum and seminar, provide an opportunity for women to discuss issues concerning women filmmakers around the world and to promote better conditions for women from all walks of life.

Awards are for the Asian Short Film & Video Competition (Grand prize: cash award of 5,000,000 won and a trophy) and People's Choice.
