Puppet-making workshop at Kakiseni Festival, Kuala Lumpur

None kakiseni festival Kakiseni Festival in Kuala Lumpur is hosting a puppet making workshop with Belgian/Russian artist Natacha Belova: Discover the Arts of Human-Sized Puppeteering and Mask Making on an 11 day workshop 1–11 September. This workshop is limited to 16 participants only, for those interested in learning the art of making human-sized puppets, mask-making and sculpting. There will be a Showcase Performance: 12–16 September, as part of Kakiseni Festival. She has lived and worked in Belgium since 1995. She is a costume designer, set designer and puppeteer, and she mixes different techniques in her creations: latex, photos, synthetic materials, powertex, printing on cloth. For her creation of puppets and costumes for different shows (Trois Vieilles, and L'École des Ventriloques with the Point Zéro company, Le Cercle de craie Caucasien and 1.2..3... Richard with Zone Urbaine Théâtre), she has been nominated three times (2008, 2009, 2010) and received an award (2010) at the Prix de la Critique.
