The 5-Min Video Challenge is a contest organised by Singtel and open to entries across six of its regional markets (Singapore, Australia, Indonesia, Philippines, Thailand, India). It was introduced in 2016 to challenge the creativity and thoughts of participants in their interpretation of “Connecting Lives”.

This challenge provides participants with an opportunity to engage audience on an international platform, amplifying their skills and contributing to their portfolio of work, all while competing for the grand prizes.


The 5 minutes Video Challenge is a short film competition across 6 regional markets. From industry veterans to budding film-makers to just anyone who owns a recording device, the challenge provides a platform for everyone who wants to experiment the creation of online content and share their stories. This is the company's second year running it. Last year, we see more than 600 submissions from around the region and garnering more than 2 million views. The winners, not only will see their short films reaching more than 600 million viewers but also stand a chance to win grand cash prizes.

The deadline for submission varies according to the different countries - some are not yet published:
