7th Cheongju International Craft Competition

Since its debut in 1999, Cheongju International Craft Biennale (CICB) in Korea has extended the horizon of Craft. The 2011 theme is <Not the New, Just the Necessary>.

Deep and diverse craft-interpretations on the theme are anticipated and will be shown through this “The 7th CHEONGJU International Craft Competition”.

Entries are invited from craftspeople around the world, showing a creative and original vision.  Individual and group projects (up to 3 artists) are eligible.

For the first screening of entries, artists are invited to send image files.  Shortlisted artists will be invited to send actual works and selected work will be shown at the Cheongju International Craft Biennale in Korea from 21 September - 30 October.  Cash awards, including a top prize of $30,000, are offered.
