Antigone’s Cantica: Intercultural, site-specific performance between Spain, Poland and Italy

The Creative Europe-funded performance Antigone’s Cantica is calling for emerging and professional actors, especially those with a migrant background, living in Italy, Poland, Spain and other European countries.

The project envisages the implementation of three Eco-Arts Residences in three natural parks in Spain, Poland and Italy. The theatrical ecology activity in the parks will be connected with the research and experimentation of new forms of site-specific performances in the nature and the realisation of the international multilingual performance Antigone’s Cantica

The selected artists will participate in the performance preparation and presentation that will be made during the three International Artistic Residences held in 2023:

  • Spain (second half of April)
  • Poland (first half of June)
  • Italy (first half of July)

Selected artists will participate in full immersion rehearsals of about two weeks in each Artistic Residence, which will result in the multilingual, site-specific performance of Antigone’s Cantica in the natural environment in the three countries. The participants will also participate in the preparatory activities that will take place online before each residency.

The project can cover the travel and the accommodation costs for the selected participants.
