Asia New Zealand Foundation ARTJOG curators tour to Indonesia 2025

The Asia New Zealand Foundation Te Whītau Tūhono invites applications from New Zealand-based visual arts decision makers to join a delegation attending the ARTJOG Curators Tour 2025 in Indonesia, from 16 to 26 June.
Participants will engage with Indonesia’s vibrant contemporary art scene by visiting key cultural hubs in Jakarta, Yogyakarta, and Denpasar and attending the ARTJOG 2025 opening on 20 June.
The tour aims to deepen professional relationships, foster cultural exchange, and explore opportunities for collaboration between New Zealand and Indonesian arts sectors. Delegates will:
- expand networks with Indonesian artists and institutions.
- develop a deeper understanding of contemporary Indonesian art practices.
- identify potential collaborations or opportunities for exhibitions in New Zealand.
- enrich their curatorial practice with fresh perspectives and insights.
Eligibility
- curators at any career stage actively contributing to New Zealand’s visual arts sector and seeking to enhance their engagement with Asia.
- visual arts professionals with proven interest in Asian art and the ability to determine or influence visual arts programming and exhibitions.
