Call for Asia Pacific Screen Lab project submissions 2014-2015: aimed at emerging screenwriters, directors and producers from the Asia-Pacific region. Screen Lab offers a one year consultation with mentors to develop selected film projects. The project is led by Griffith Film School in Australia.

A NETPAC team composed of Philip Cheah, Park Ki Yong and Herman Van Eyken calls for project submissions for the inaugural Asia Pacific Screen Lab, aimed at emerging screenwriters, directors and producers from the Asia-Pacific region. The focus is on stories exploring an Asia Pacific identity, to be developed into feature length screen content, be it fiction, documentary or animation.

The process will last one year, including project matching to acclaimed Asia Pacific Screen Academy members during the upcoming APSAwards in December 2014, and the graduation of the projects at the following APSAwards. The year-long sessions will include residencies and masterclasses with established practitioners from the region and the rest of the world, as well as special guests and networking opportunities.

Participants will receive year-long individual consultation with mentors, carefully chosen by the Lab Team, to further their project. The screen lab will end with a pitch in front of a high profile industry jury of sales agents, producers and festival programmers.

Between two and four projects will be selected to participate. The Asia Pacific Screen Lab will cover accommodation for the duration of the lab activities. A travel subsidy may be provided to participants travelling from within the Asia-Pacific region.
