Atelier for Young Festival Managers - Ateliers 2020 applications open
The Festival Academy has open call for applications to join the 2020 Atelier Dusseldorf. Are you eager to exchange ideas with a diverse group of creative minds coming from all over the world, to become part of a festival makers’ global community now counting more than 650 festival leaders and to meet up with both emerging and expert festival leaders, cultural activists and artists to critically reflect for 7 days on the role of festivals in today’s world?
Ateliers call to challenge your ideas and practices during a global conversation: Are you craving to reflect on curating, sustainability, digital opportunities, accessibility, audiences and communities, festivals as agents for social change and much more?
Apply by 18 August and just come and ‘do’ it at one of the Ateliers for Young Festival Managers in 2020!
- Atelier Düsseldorf 23-29 May 2020, Germany | Co-organised with International Theatre Institute (ITI) and Theater der Welt.
- Atelier Kampala 2-8 August 2020, Uganda | Co-organised with Bayimba Foundation and Festival.
WHO? The Atelier addresses early career artistic directors, programmers and curators working for art organisations or festivals, as well as those working in a programming related department. Each Atelier offers the opportunity to up to 35 passionate festival makers of all artistic disciplines, coming from all over the world to take part.
WHAT? The Atelier starts from the very essence of festivals - the arts, the artist and the audience - and focusses on the topics and issues formulated in the participants' application forms which are further developed and elaborated during the Atelier and relates to the context where the Atelier takes place, as such each Atelier is different.
