Auckland Print Studio | International Artist in Residence call
Auckland Print Studio (APS) is now accepting applications for its Annual International Artist-in-Residence programme. Founded in 2008, APS specialises in stone and photo-plate lithography and is located in Auckland, New Zealand.
APS is equipped with a 30' x 50' Charles Brand lithography press and has an assortment of stones. APS is also capable of generating and printing photopositive lithography plates.
Residency Duration and Dates: 13th December 2013 - 19th January 2014 (5 weeks). Dates are flexible by a few days either way.
International artists are invited to apply to Auckland Print Studio's 4th International Artist-in-Residence program. The residency's aim is to collaboratively produce a suite of hand-printed lithographs. The editioned suite of prints will be split evenly between the artist and APS.
We are welcoming all artists to apply, regardless of printmaking experience. Shared accommodation and all printmaking materials are included.
Trips to some of New Zealand's famous west coast beaches are also an integral part of the residency!
Please include the following in your application:
-Curriculum Vitae / Resume.
-Cover letter describing your overall artistic practice.
-Project idea (the collaborative element to this residency implies projects will develop organically with the artist and APS).
-Visual Documentation of 10 recent works (include additional detail images if needed). (JPEGs must have a resolution of 72dpi with a maximum width of 2000 pixels).
-IMPORTANT: Subject line should include your name followed by 'AIR at APS 2013'
