Belgium | ENCC Policy and Advocacy Officer job
The European Network of Cultural Centres (ENCC) is now looking for a part-time policy and advocacy officer, ideally starting from January 2025.
Key responsibilities include:
- Identify, monitor and analyse European law and policy developments directly or indirectly related to cultural policy;
- Set up a multi-year advocacy strategy in collaboration with the entire ENCC office team, Board of directors and members, based on the ENCC multi-year strategic plan;
- Coordinate with the office team to develop impactful and timely policy documents (briefings, position papers, reports and recommendations);
- In liaison with the Project and Research Manager, feed into and harvest potential policy and advocacy developments in relation with the three Horizon Europe projects focusing on culture and creativity in rural areas, cultural heritage, and intercultural competences;
- Contribute to ENCC campaigns and publications, ensuring they are built around solid policy analyses;
- Contribute to building relationships with key EU institutions and strategic stakeholders, by attending external meetings and policy debates, collecting intelligence, and building alliances relevant to the different policy areas;
- Participate actively in staff meetings and contribute to team discussions and strategic planning.
ENCC offers the following:
- A part-time position (30 hr/week) located in Brussels, Belgium;
- An initial contract of one year;
- The wage is based on the scales of the PC 329.01 for the cultural sector, inclusive of holiday pay and year-end bonus (awarded as provided for in the collective labour agreement of 8 March 2006 on the granting of a year-end bonus in socio-cultural work);
- Luncheon vouchers and a monthly contribution towards the use of public transport
