Berlinale Talents 2025
Berlinale Talents 2025 is now open for applications from film and television professionals with an existing track record of work.
Berlinale Talents is the talent development programme of the Berlin International Film Festival, with project development labs taking place digitally in late January 2025 and an onsite summit with panels, discussions and networking opportunities during the Berlinale from 15–20 February 2025.
Berlinale Talents consists of:
- A creative Summit with talks and films
- Talents Labs with workshops and mentorship tailored to specific disciplines
- A Think-Tank with numerous networking events
Who is it for?
Berlinale Talents is aimed at film and television professionals with an existing track record of work and who are willing to share their experiences with others. To be eligible, applicants need to have made at least one feature-length film OR two short films OR a high-quality drama series or TV movie that have screened in festivals or been widely streamed.
Distributors, sales agents or audience designers should have been involved in either the distribution or sale of at least two feature-length films or be responsible for a cinema space or festival, e.g. as a curator. Critics should be publishing film-related articles, interviews or essays on a regular and professional basis.
Fees
There is no participation fee for Berlinale Talents. Several regional film institutes and foundations around the globe offer support schemes for participants of Berlinale Talents. If invited, applicants will have to cover their accommodation and travel costs as well as daily expenditures during their stay in Berlin.
