Call for Entries | The 37th HKIFF

The 37th Hong Kong International Film Festival (HKIFF) is now accepting submissions for its various Competition and Non Competition sections. The 37th HKIFF will be held from 17th March to 2nd April, 2013. HKIFF is one of Hong Kong’s largest cultural event and Asia’s most reputable platform for filmmakers, film professionals and filmgoers from all over the world to launch new work and experience outstanding films. Screening over 330 titles from 50 countries in 12 major cultural venues in Hong Kong, the HKIFF reaches an audience of over 600,000 and 4,500 business executives attending the Hong Kong International Film and TV Market (FILMART).

PROGRAMME

The programme comprises features, documentaries, shorts and animations organized into the following sections:

1.     YOUNG CINEMA COMPETITION
2.     DOCUMENTARY COMPETITION
3.     SHORT FILM COMPETITION
4.     GLOBAL VISION: 30-40 new works including special programmes and tributes
5.     INDIE POWER: 15-20 new independent and avant-garde works
6.     REALITY BITES: 8-12 new documentaries
