Call for Submissions | Internationale Kurzfilmtage Oberhausen
The 60th International Short Film Festival Oberhausen (1-6 May 2014) is now inviting submissions for its competitions. The Festival is looking for experiments on the formal, intellectual or narrative level, regardless of genre and format. Films should be works with their own visual language, new angles and forms. For 60 years, Oberhausen's strength has lain in its willingness to embrace the new, the surprising, the idiosyncratic! The competitions are open to productions completed after 1 January 2013. Oberhausen is awarding a total of almost 34,000 euros in its five competitions. The decision about which competitions a submission is eligible for is based solely on the country of production. International productions must be German festival premieres.

In competitions and curated programmes, the Festival presented a total of 450 films. More than 1,000 accredited visitors from almost 60 countries saw the films, over 18,000 tickets were issued.
