Choreography residency in Korea | for Indian artists
To mark the 40th year of Indo-Korean diplomatic relations, Attakkalari Centre for Movement Arts announces the beginning of an annual exchange residency between India and Korea for young & emerging choreographers.
This project is in partnership with InKo Centre, Arts Council Korea (ARKO), Seoul Art Space - Hongeun and Attakkalari Centre for Movement Arts Bangalore. A choreographer from India will be selected for a two-month Residency Programme that will be held in September and October, 2013 in Seoul, Korea.

The choreographers will create work at the Residency which will culminate in a public performance for the community in Korea. This programme is meant to provide a supportive system for Choreographers and will be mentored by international faculty who would help the choreographers realize their ideas in a creative environment, free of financial constraints. The residency will work as a collective with exploratory and feedback sessions. Rehearsals and individual sessions with mentors will be designed to meet the choreographer's needs. The residency will also provide some technical assistance in the field of sound and light design.
Applicants must be Indian citizens
Applications must include a Concept Note, Artist’s Statement, and Video documentation.
