Collide Residency Award 2021

Artists of any nationality or creative discipline are invited to submit a project proposal involving research and production phases during a residency at CERN, the European Laboratory for Particle Physics in Geneva. The artist will also have the opportunity to expand their research and test its applications through Barcelona’s scientific and cultural network while engaging with a wide range of communities.

We invite to submit a project proposal that combines research and production inspired by fundamental research and high-quality engagements with the CERN and Barcelona scientific communities through interactions and dialogue with scientists, engineers and staff.

Are you an artist interested in conducting artistic research in scientific laboratories in dialogue with physicists and engineers?

Collide is a fully-funded two-month residency at CERN, the European Laboratory for Particle Physics in Geneva, and a one-month residency in laboratories in Barcelona hosted at Hangar.org, Centre for Art Research and Production in Barcelona, taking place in 2021.

The award includes the following support and conditions:

− 15 000 Swiss Francs as a research and artistic production award.

− Personal allowance for two months at CERN, Geneva, and one month in Barcelona.

− Travel costs and accommodation within a fixed budget for the three months of the artistic residency at CERN and in Barcelona.

Deadline for applications: 7 December 2020
