Czech Centre residencies in Bulgaria, France, Poland, Greece and Serbia

The service organisation for culture Nová sító zs expands its long-term cooperation with Czech Centres by providing a number of supported artist residencies in the field of performing arts in Bulgaria, France, Poland, Greece and Serbia. 

A total of 5 residencies for Czech professionals working in the field of contemporary theatre, dance and other related performative genres will be supported. 

Programme objectives: 

  • Support for international mobility and networking
  • Development of residents' competencies with the aim of strengthening their knowledge and skills
  • Providing the opportunity to create and present oneself in an inspiring environment of selected European countries
  • Establishing new relationships and cooperation suitable for their artistic development and professional life

About the residencies

Residency in France

Nová sító zs and the Czech Centre Paris are announcing an open call for applications to support a 14-day creative residency from 1 October – 1 December 2024 in France. 

Residency in Greece

Nová sító zs and the Czech Centre of Athens, in cooperation with the international festival Akropoditi DanceFest, announce an open call for applications to support a 10-day creative residency on the Greek island of Syros in July 2024. 

Residency in Bulgaria

Nová sító zs and the Czech Centre of Sofia, in cooperation with the city of Burgas, announce an open call for applications to support a 14-day creative residency from 1 to 30 September 2024 in Bulgaria. 

Residency in Poland

Nová sító zs and Czech Centre of Warsaw, in cooperation with the Komuna Warszawa Theatre, announce an open call for applications for support for a two-phase creative residency: 8–21 July and one week in autumn 2024 in Poland. 

Conditions

Selected residents working in the field of contemporary theatre, dance and other related performative genres. Support is available for individuals or groups and the call is intended for applicants with Czech citizenship or permanent residence in the Czech Republic.

Selected residents will be provided with accommodation and facilities for creative activity, as well as a transport allowance (ranging between 300 EUR and 520 EUR per person, depending on the location) and a daily allowance of at least 30 EUR per person/day.
