Dance Box residency opportunities in Japan

Dance Box’s residency program in Kobe, Japan is seeking artists, scholars and curators who pursue work in the field of dance and body movement to apply for experimental, process-based residencies starting October 2014.

The DANCE BOX residency programs are implemented in cooperation with our partners Art Theater dB KOBE, Studio dB Kobe, and Maizuru RB (Yashima art port). We encourage on experimentation and the process rather than focusing on the end result of the artists’ production.

Residencies last 80 days: October 1 - December 19 2014 (indicative dates)

Applicants must be non-Japanese

An artist doesn't need to be a dancer or a choreographer. Depending on a program or concept of research, we are interested in people who are working/researching about body-movements; performing arts and we are hoping for applicants who are doing research related to those fields.
