Digital on Stage 2026 Funding Programme for performing artists

The DIGITAL on STAGE Creative Europe project invites performing artists and collectives from Greece, Sweden, Slovenia, Spain, Belgium, and Italy to apply for its Cascade Funding Programme. Applicants need a stage-worthy and tour-able performing arts production, to be finalised and performed in spring 2026.

Artists or collectives can be working on digital, physical or hybrid performances that integrate technologies like:

• Virtual Reality (VR)
• Augmented Reality (AR)
• Artificial Intelligence (AI)
• Interactive installations & 3D environments
• Digital streaming platforms

A total of 24 projects will be selected. The selected productions will be showcased at one of the festivals organised by Kilowatt (Italy), MMMAD (Spain) and Cultuurconnect (Belgium) in 2026.

Support

The programme offers 8,000 EUR financial support.

The support is intended as co-financing for an already ongoing production and not to cover all production costs. In the application, the applicant needs to demonstrate that the project will receive funding from other sources or how the production will be carried out with a limited budget.
