DocNet Summer School | Apply Now!

None DocNet Southeast Asia is inviting applications from Documentary film makers in the region for its Summer School to be held from June 7th to 17th, 2013 in Hanoi, Vietnam. The Summer School is seeking film makers with their documentary projects in pre- production and production for project development workshop or projects in post-production stage for the editing workshop. The DocNet Southeast Asia Summer School 2013 is designed to be an intensive workshop in documentary filmmaking including one to one sessions with international tutors and group discussion sessions. It offers an opportunity to get hands-on advice for ongoing projects from renowned film makers from Europe and the region. At the same time the Summer School is a unique chance to get to know other film makers from Southeast Asia and their projects, exchange knowledge and build a network of film makers in the region.

Submissions are free. All costs for participating in the workshop, airfare, accommodation and catering will be covered by Doc Net Southeast Asia.

WHO CAN APPLY?

1. Participants must be at least 21 years old.

2. Participants’ origin country must be one of the following: Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Thailand or Vietnam.

3. Participants should already have made at least 1 documentary film (submitted with the application form).

DocNet Southeast Asia is a regional training initiative initiated by Goethe-Institut and funded by the EU—and its partners from six Southeast Asian countries. DocNet Southeast Asia brings the Asian documentary scene together to celebrate the art and business of documentary making with a diverse programm of training workshops, panels, round table discussions and ChopShots, the international documentary festival event in Jakarta.
