Edinburgh Short Film Festival | Call For Entries/Shanghai Connection!
The very talented people at the Edinburgh Short Film Festival have announced their call for entries for the 2014 edition of the festival. The festival will be held this year from June 06 until June 15. Screenings are held in a range of eclectic and unusual venues across the length and breadth of the beautiful Scottish capital and showcases the very best of local and international film talent each and every year.
The 2014 edition will prove to be a very special year for the festival: there is a brand new award - Most Creative Short Film - and also the opportunity for filmmakers to screen their films in Shanghai as part of the ESFFl 'Best Of' initiative.
The festival is also working in partnership with the Edinburgh International Film Festival and have a delegates pass to all EIFF industry events as a prize for the aforementioned most creative film (judged by the EIFF shorts selection panel).
The Shanghai connection is in association with Chinese-based film organisation KanKan media and ESFF have plans in place to descend upon central Shanghai next year with a week of screenings and workshops. All films selected for exhibition at ESFF are eligible for inclusion in the programme.
Submissions are requested from film-makers for films of any genre not exceeding 20 minutes in length. ESFF submission fee is £10 per film. Films are welcome from anywhere in the world and are eligible for submission if they have been completed after January 1 2012. The submissions form is here . The submission deadline is April 28 2014.
