Encounters Short Film and Animation Festival 2014 | Call For Entries
The 20th edition of the Encounters Short Film and Animation Festival will take place from the 16th to 21st September 2014 in Bristol, UK and is calling for film entries for this year's edition. Short films and animations from all over the globe are eligible as long as they have been completed since 1 January 2012 and are under 30 minutes in length from any genre (fiction, documentary, experimental, music video). For the second year running Encounters is teaming up with Reelport to offer an online submission service. There are discounts for multiple submissions and even if your film doesn't get selected it can still be seen by delegates during the festival via the festival's online Digital Viewing Library.
Filmmakers will get the chance to have their work highlighted on an international stage and also get to compete for major awards, including up to £12,000 in cash prizes; Encounters is also a gateway to the BAFTAs, the Oscars®, the European Film Awards and the Cartoon d'Or.
The Encounters Short Film and Animation Festival presents a rare and excellent opportunity for industry and creatives alike to meet new people, benefit from peer-to-peer exchanges, and develop new collaborations through panels, discussions, and workshops.
