EU–Japan Fest grants 2024
The EU–Japan Fest Japan Committee supports individuals and organisations who want to develop projects between Japan and a European Capital of Culture.
There are currently two grant programmes available.
Research Travel Support
The Research Travel Support focuses on creative research or preparation for a project related to European Capital of Culture (ECoC). This grant will support the early phases of a project which would allow artists and creative professionals to get the latest information and discuss and develop their ideas together. Eligible activities include research, preliminary visits to the venues, and meetings for the practical preparation of programmes in the past, current, future ECoC.
Funding ranges from 100,000 JPY to 200,000 JPY.
Mobility support “Passport Programme”
To encourage further interaction between artists, artistic and cultural organisations in Japan and the European countries that hosted a ECoC, EU–Japan Fest has launched the “Passport Programme”, a mobility support programme for people related to art and culture. Local resident artists and cultural stakeholders in Japan and the European countries which hosted ECoCs (any nationality) can apply.
Funding ranges from 100,000 JPY to 200,000 JPY.
