Finland | Loikka Dance Film Festival | call for entries
Loikka is Finland’s annual dance film festival. Now in its seventh year, Loikka welcomes cinematic dance works of any genre, style, or technique, from short and feature-length films to documentaries and 3D dance films. The program is complemented by workshops, events and the famous Loikka festival club.
The Loikka festival 2014 call for entries is now open. The deadline for film applications is September 30th, 2013.
Loikka festival welcomes dance films of any style, length, genre or technique. As in previous years, the majority of our programming will comprise short dance films, but we are also looking to screen a limited number of full-length works.
Previous screenings
There is no restriction on the date of completion of the submitted works, nor on the number of works submitted by an applicant (however, each submitted film is subject to its own entry fee). There is no limitation on submission for films that have been presented at other festivals and/or online. No screening royalties are paid for open call films.
Preview formats
We accept preview screeners only as online video links (YouTube/Vimeo etc). The only exception is for 3D and 4K films, for which screeners should be sent as media files via online transfer.
Timetable
The last date for entries is September 30th, 2013 at 24:00 Helsinki time.
