LOIKKA is dedicated to the dance film. Dance has been an essential part of the moving image from the very beginning of the history of the film. It has been presented on the screen in Hollywood and Bollywood as well as music video and experimental film. Even though movement has such a close relationship with moving image the independent dance film is a rather new form of art. With a vision to lift Finland to the leading countries of dance film LOIKKA is reaching to promote the development and production of the art form.

To achieve its goal LOIKKA organizes a yearly dance film festival LOIKKA and workshops for the dance and film professionals LOIKKApro. LOIKKA is also committed to curate dance film.
