Grants for collaborative music projects between France, UK and Ireland
Diaphonique supports collaborative projects of classical contemporary music between France, the United Kingdom and Ireland. It funds commissions, concerts, tours, residencies and educative projects.
Diaphonique aims to foster cultural exchanges between France, the UK and Ireland in the field of classical contemporary music. The project must show strong partnerships and create links between the three countries by:
- Encouraging an artistic collaboration between artists and/or composers across the two sides of the Channel.
- Involving new or existing works composed by British, French or Irish composers. Music programmes including a commission to a French composer, a commission to a British composer and a commission to an Irish composer are particularly welcome.
- Performing the project in France, in the UK or in Ireland. Projects taking place in all countries are encouraged.
French-based, UK-based or Ireland-based legal organisations with a charity number can submit a project, such as: Ensembles, companies or collectives; Venues or festivals; Educational bodies; or Research studios and centres. Priority will be given to not-for-profit organisations.
Diaphonique can support up to 40% of the project’s artistic costs, which include:
- Artistic production expenses for composers and musicians
- Production costs
- License, Music Rights, Insurances
- Travel Expenses (transportation costs, per diem, accommodation)
- Technical Expenses (location and equipment transportation)
- Room renting for rehearsal
The amount funded is from 5,000 GBP to 18,000 GBP.
