Greece | Thessaloniki International Digital Arts Festival 2024
The international Eye's Walk Digital Festival and the MOMus-Museum of Contemporary Art of Thessaloniki is calling for submissions from international public space, digital art, and circus artists for the Thessaloniki International Digital Arts Festival (THEDAF), from November 2024 to January 2025.
The festival seeks to expand the concept of heritage and become a meeting point for contemporary art with the public history of Thessaloniki today, through digital art, performance, circus art, and psychogeographical wandering.
The festival invites participants to share affective atmospheres and personal and collective experiences around the city, its connection with the rest of the world and ultimately its future.
Requirements of artistic works:
- Digital works can have a maximum duration of 5 minutes.
- Performances can have a maximum duration of 30 minutes.
- Proposals concerning Audio Routes have flexibility in their duration (and can incorporate a variety of media such as verbal text, music, sounds, video art, sound art, oral narratives of the city's residents, etc.).
- Proposals combining artistic work with educational activities will also be included in the final production.
What is provided?
- Accommodation and partial support transportation.
- A compensation of 150 EUR to selected artworks.
- Artists’ contacts with local artistic groups, residents, and communities.
- Artworks will also be presented in the new metaverse (digital and three-dimensional) environment of the Eye's Walk Digital Festival
