The 8th Gyeonggi International Ceramic Biennale 2015 International Ceramic Workshop is open for applications. 6 international artists will be selected for the residential workshop, to be held in Icheon, Korea 8-16 May 2015.

The GICB 2015 once again opens its arena to the world to receive young artists who wish to participate in the INTERNATIONAL CERAMIC WORKSHOP. The 8th Gyeonggi International Ceramic Biennale 2015 (GICB 2015) hopes to experiment with new and innovative ideas in ceramics by inviting well known artists around the world to support their creative activities simultaneously as developing the ceramic community of Icheon by collaborating with the local artists through the <INTERNATIONAL CERAMIC WORKSHOP>. In doing so it hopes to remain true to the main theme of GICB 2015 which is 'Color; Ceramic Spectrum'. It is an opportunity to motivate creative exchange through workshops taking place on the site.

Eligibility

  • No restrictions on age, nationality and gender

  • Applicants must have majored or specialised in ceramics, or ceramics related field. Experience as a working artist must exceed 4-5 years

  • Fluency in English for communication is mandatory

  • Passport must have legal permission to reside in a foreign country (Korea) for more than 15 days


GICB 2015 Support for Applicants

  • Accommodation for 9 days during Workshop

  • Meals (Lunch, Dinner)

  • Work Space, Basic Materials

  • Certificate verifying participation in the venue

  • Filmed documentation on the venue

  • Free Ticket to visit exhibitions and venues for the GICB 2
