Swiss Arts Council Pro Helvetia is looking for a Head of Pro Helvetia New Delhi to start 1 December 2024.

The Pro Helvetia employs around 120 staff members in Switzerland and various regions around the world who are dedicated to promoting Swiss arts and culture. Established in 2007, the New Delhi liaison office of Pro Helvetia is committed to cultural exchange and artistic collaboration between Switzerland and South Asia. The office forges ties with event organisers and nurtures long-term collaborations with relevant partners to support the promotion and dissemination of Swiss arts in the region as well as intercultural exchange.

Tasks include: 

  • Strategically develop the liaison office as a unit facilitating relationships and collaboration between the Swiss arts scene and the arts scene in South Asia.
  • Manage Pro Helvetia’s activities in the region, elaborate and monitor the office’s annual programme, process applications in all art disciplines (except film) in collaboration with the specialists at the head office in Switzerland as well as ensure accurate reporting on the office’s activities.
  • Maintain and expand the office’s existing networks within the arts sector in the region and in Switzerland and cultivate relations with other foreign arts councils, Swiss representations (embassies and consulates) and regional arts and cultural bodies.
  • Promote, stimulate, and support artistic projects in cooperation with cultural actors and partners from the region, including artists from Switzerland and the region. 
  • Oversee the communication strategy of the office in collaboration with the head office in Switzerland. 
  • Furthermore, the successful candidate will contribute their knowledge of the region and their critical insights to the further development of Pro Helvetia’s global activities, in dialogue with colleagues within the organisation in Switzerland and around the world.
  • Manage a team of five people.
