Horizons Arts-Nature in Sancy, France | open call
Horizons Arts-Nature 2016 in Sancy, France takes place 18 June - 25 September, the 9th edition of a contemporary visual art event featuring ephemeral site-specific commissioned artworks in natural sites in the Sancy massif, Auvergne region, central France. Open call for submissions.
Managed by the Sancy Tourist Office, the call for projects involves the creation of 10 works of art in the Sancy Massif.
In 2016, the festival will celebrate its 10th anniversary. We wish to make this edition a particular year. So for the first time, a thematic is included to the festival. In this way, through their projects the artists should explore the following thematic: “Horizons, La Dixième” (“The tenth”) - see guidelines for how the organisers suggest you may interpret this theme.
Art grant: a grant totalling €8,000 including VAT will be given to each artist (or team) selected including €6.500 for artistic fees and €1.500 for rights of authors. This budget will be managed entirely by the artist and approved by the organizer. The budget must cover all expenses necessary to carry out the work (including creation, materials, transport, installation, artist's travel and accommodation).
The event is open to all artists, without any limit of age, and to young talents (just or recently - less than 2 years- graduated from art school)
Number of selected candidates: 10
