The Van Eyck invites artists, designers, photographers, architects, landscape architects, curators, writers, and thinkers from all over the world to apply for a residency at the Jan van Eyck Academie for 6 up to 12 months. APPLICATION PROCEDURE

Applying is done digitally. Apart from the online application form, the other required parts have to be sent in one PDF file to application@janvaneyck.nl. For voluminous files (like videos), please insert a link to the server/website/You Tube/Vimeo where the file can be viewed.

NB: Please make sure all the links to external sites work!  Double-check your links in the final PDF before sending it to us, if links do not work, the selection committee cannot review your application properly. The links should also work at least up to two months after the deadline has past.

The registration fee is €65. The registration procedure is included in the online application: on finalizing the form you will be redirected to Paypal where you can pay the €65.
If you do not have a Paypal account and someone else pays for you: please let us know! Send an additional email to application@janvaneyck.nl and let us know the name of the person who paid your registration fee.

Deadline for applications: 3 October 2016


An application consists of:

1. the online application form
2. a PDF file containing the following parts. These parts should be preceded by a clear table of contents. The PDF file shouldn’t be larger than 10 MB.
a) a projectproposal stating goals and purpose of your stay (max. 500 words)
b) first ideas concerning an In-Lab (max. 500 words)
c) documentation of recent work (dating back no longer than 5 years, maximum 25 pages, 1 image per page)
d)  your resume (max. 2 pages)
