Japan | 1minute Projection Mapping Competition 2024
The 12th 1minute Projection Mapping Competition is calling for applications from international artists for their competition of projection mapping works on the Meijijingu Gaien Meiji Memorial Picture Gallery, in Tokyo, Japan, from 14 to 16 September 2024.
1minute Projection Mapping is one of the world’s largest international projection mapping competitions. Last year’s 11th competition attracted 281 entries from 58 countries and regions around the world. This year there will be approximately 18–20 works screened and this year the competition theme is ‘Mirror’.
Awards:
- GRAND PRIZE: 2 million JPY, trophy, supplementary prize, invited as a guest creator for the next competition.
- SECOND PRIZE: 500k JPY, trophy, supplementary prize
- THIRD PRIZE: 200k JPY, trophy, supplementary prize
- FORTH PRIZE: 100k JPY, trophy, supplementary prize
- AUDIENCE PRIZE: 100k JPY, trophy, supplementary prize
Finalists will receive a travel and lodging subsidy for one person (3 days/2 nights, amount is capped) when visiting the screening in mid-September.
