Japan | Aichi University of the Arts - artist residency call

Aichi University of the Arts invites artists from around the world to the university through an artist-in-residence programme with the goal of promoting collaboration in education and artistic activities. By inviting artists, (including artist groups) who are actively engaged in artistic endeavours, the university aims to enhance exchanges among artists, faculty members and students, and thereby adds some fresh air to the university as an education and research hub with an active atmosphere.

Aichi University of the Arts invites internationally active artists to the university with the aims to:

・improve and enhance arts education

・facilitate collaboration in artistic activities

・promote exchanges among artists in Japan and abroad, universities, research institutions, etc.

・engage in academic and interdisciplinary activities.

Focus area: Fine Arts (painting, sculpture, installation, print making, design, photography, film, etc.)

One resident artist or artists group will be selected for a residency lasting 30-100 days, and taking place in the period from June 1, 2022 - December 16, 2022

The selected artist/s will be provided with living and working space, travel costs, production and living expenses.
