Japan Foundation Asia Center - Grant Program for Promotion of Cultural Collaboration

The Japan Foundation Asia Center - Grant Program for Promotion of Cultural Exchange FY2020 is open for applications. This program particularly supports collaborative projects ―― the majority of which involve ASEAN countries and Japan participants ―― as well as projects that plan to disseminate their achievements in the fields of arts and culture, sports, civil society or intellectual exchange. 

Application forms and instructions for FY2020 Asia Center Grant Programs are now available.
*For FY2020, only applications from organizations within Japan are eligible - grant application forms are in Japanese only.

Eligible Applicants: Organizations based in Japan.

Eligible Projects: Collaborative projects ―― the majority of which involve ASEAN countries and Japan participants ―― as well as projects that plan to disseminate their achievements in the fields of arts and culture, sports, civil society or intellectual exchange are accepted.

Grant Coverage

Maximum 10 million JPY
The grant can cover portions from a maximum of three categories from below.
1. Traveling expense (international and long-distance domestic travel) and accommodation
2. Venue and equipment use
3. Translation, interpretation and honoraria for lecturers
4. Preparation of materials, reports, PR materials, etc.
5. Carriage (baggage/ freight)

The Japan Foundation Asia Center aims to foster awareness of empathy and coexistence as neighbors who live together among the residents of Asia through exchange and collaboration. To that end, it implements projects in diverse fields, such as arts and culture, sports, Japanese-language education and academic exchange.
