Japan Media Arts Festival | call for entries
The Japan Media Arts Festival is a comprehensive festival of Media Arts and invites entries for the awards and exhibition in the fields of Art, Entertainment, Animation and Manga.
The Japan Media Arts Festival (=Media Geijutsu) that honors outstanding works in the four divisions of Art, Entertainment, Animation, and Manga, as well as providing a platform for appreciation of Award-winning Works.
For the 18th Festival in 2015, entries will be accepted globally until September 2 2014 (18:00 JST).
Works completed or released between September 13, 2013 and September 2, 2014 are eligible for entry. Entries are sought from professional, amateur, independent and commercial creators from across the globe.
Since its inception in 1997, the festival has recognized significant works of high artistry and creativity, and in addition to a yearly Exhibition of Award-winning Works has held other events, such as symposiums, screenings, and showcases.
In 2013, the 17th Festival received a record 4,347 entries from 84 countries and regions around the world, demonstrating its continuing evolution as an established annual international festival. Award-winning works are exhibited both within Japan and abroad through various projects and events organized by The Agency of Cultural Affairs which aims to promote the creation, development and understanding/awareness/appreciation of Media Arts.
