London Design Biennale 2025 Polish pavilion project proposals
The Adam Mickiewicz Institute is calling for proposals of curatorial design of an exhibition/installation to be implemented in the Polish Pavilion during the London Design Biennale, 5–29 June 2025. In 2025 it is also the year of the cultural season between the UK and Poland from Spring to Autumn 2025.
The project should present Polish design thought and also correspond to the specificity and main theme of the London Design Biennale 2025 ‘Surface Reflections’, which is an attempt to examine how our thinking is shaped by both internal experiences and stimuli from the external world.
The curatorial project should include:
- exhibition/installation concept
- full exhibition/installation scenario (in Polish and its translation into English) along with a visualisation or sketch
- an estimated cost estimate for the production of the exhibition/installation
The project curator, or in the case of a curatorial team, at least one person, must have:
- good knowledge of contemporary design issues, including phenomena taking place on the international design scene
- curatorial experience in organising exhibitions/installations in the field of design, architecture, fashion, new media or visual arts (at least two exhibitions abroad)
- good knowledge of Polish design
- good knowledge of English
