The Lumen Prize 2018
The Lumen Prize for Digital Art celebrates the very best art created with technology through a global competition, exhibitions and events worldwide. The call for entries for the seventh Lumen Prize, with a prize fund of $11K, is now open. All art is eligible as long as it engages with technology in some form. Artists worldwide are invited to enter - fee payable for entry.
A not-for-profit based in Wales, UK, Lumen’s annual juried competition draws entries from artists globally and has given away more than US$50,000 in prize money since its launch in 2012.
This year’s prize fund is $11,000. The categories are Still, Moving Image, AR/VR, 3D/Interactive, the BCS Artificial Intelligence and the Meural Student Award. All finalists are eligible for three further awards: the People’s Choice award, the Founder’s award and the Gold award.
Deadline for entries: 1 June 2018
Please note: there is a fee to enter the competition:
It’s US$47.50 for two works and US$23.75 for each additional work. A not-for-profit organisation, Lumen receives no outside funding. All entry fees go directly towards the prizes and our global events. The Meural Student Award is free to enter. For more details, click here.
