Luxembourg | Curatorial Research Fellow 2025

Mudam, the Contemporary Art Museum of Luxembourg, is seeking a one-year Curatorial Research Fellow, starting from April/May 2025.

An initiative supported by Allen & Overy Shearman, the fellow will work as part of the collection and wider curatorial team and the role will be dedicated to the development of the collection through the museum’s partnership with the international law firm, Allen & Overy Shearman. The research will focus on contemporary art globally with a specific interest in moving image and new technologies. The successful candidate will contribute ideas and support proposals for acquisitions and may also work on the development of collection displays.

Mudam is looking for an individual with the following attributes:

  • Expertise in contemporary art with proven research skills
  • Good administrative and organisational skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Computer literacy
  • Fluent in English, a working knowledge of French, German or Luxembourgish is also an advantage.
  • A broad knowledge of contemporary art and culture with a particular interest in the impact of moving image and new technologies on contemporary practice.
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to manage a varied workload and remain calm under pressure
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
