M1 Singapore Fringe Festival 2025
M1 Singapore Fringe Festival is calling for applications from local and international artists for their 2025 edition, to be held from 8 to 19 January 2025.
The Festival focuses on contemporary, cutting-edge and socially engaged performing and live art works. They are calling for proposal that are concerned with in the world today, and how the artistic response is a call to arms, a healing process, or a road map to a different, better future.
The Festival focuses on presenting work fuelled by socially engaged practice. They are looking for robust artistic processes and accessible presentations that are centred on responding to gaps in communities, collaborative, and tackling current issues of the day.
The work should be a contemporary, cutting edge and socially engaged piece that can be presented as a live or digital performances or a participatory event. The Festival welcomes proposals that use alternative models of presentations to include the disabled and immunocompromised, to encourage environmental sustainability, and/or to reduce air travel.
What is provided?
- Generally, the Festival offers an artist honorarium of 1,000 SGD in total for in-theatre productions with at least two performances. For works in other formats, the honorarium will be revised accordingly.
- The Festival covers twin or triple-sharing accommodation for the period from bump in to strike.
- Artists will be responsible for obtaining funding for all flights and freight.
