M1 Singapore Fringe Festival 2026

M1 Singapore Fringe Festival is calling for applications from local and international artists for their 2026 edition, to be held from 14 to 25 January 2026.
The festival focuses on presenting work that engages socially. That means they are looking for strong artistic processes and accessible forms, a focus on responding to problems faced by communities, and pieces involving working with others to solve issues happening today.
The applicants’ work should be one that is creative, exciting, and can engage people socially. These can be presented as a live or digital performance. They can also be events that other people can join in. The organisers welcome proposals that are presented differently; this can allow the disabled and those with low immune systems to join us or it can also encourage actions that are better for the climate, and/or to reduce air travel.
The festival focuses on contemporary, cutting-edge and socially engaged performing and live art works.
What is provided?
Generally, the festival offers an artist honorarium of 1,000 SGD in total for in-theatre productions with at least two performances. For works in other formats, the honorarium will be revised accordingly.
The festival covers twin or triple-sharing accommodation for the period from bump in to strike.
Artists will be responsible for obtaining funding for all flights and freight.
