Malaysia | 2024 Pink10 filmmakers’ competition for Asian filmmakers
Kota Kinabalu International Film Festival (KKIFF) is calling for applications from ASEAN filmmakers for the 2024 Pink10 filmmakers’ competition, to be awarded on 15 September 2024.
KKIFF is Malaysia's longest running film festival based in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah. The festival includes international and regional movie screenings, talks, workshops and training for filmmakers.
This competition is open to citizens and residents of ASEAN countries (Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, Indonesia, Lao PDR, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Viet Nam), Korea, Taiwan and Hong Kong.
The film can be any genre (animation, documentary, drama, experimental, horror, comedy, etc) and the film duration can be up to 3 minutes (Category: Explore Sabah) and up to 10 minutes (Categories: Narrative, Documentary and Indigenous Language). The film must have been completed on or after 15 September 2022 and all films must have English subtitles.
There will be one award will be made in each category of Documentary, Narrative, Indigenous Language, Explore Sabah with an award amount of 3,000 MYR in each category.
KKIFF is also calling for applications for their Sabah Film Lab 2024, for Malaysian filmmakers.
