The International Laboratory Festival of Performance Préavis de Désordre Urbain will take place in Marseille from 9 – 21 September 2013. Call to artists for project proposals.

RedPlexus, network of exchanges and diffusion of new forms of performance, announces an international call to artists.

Préavis de Désordre Urbain is:
A Festival connected to problematics of contemporary world, «committed», encouraging experimental and poetical and subversive actions, promoting diffusion of the performance.
PDU : A Festival laboratory combining artistic demands and experimentations
It takes place in 2 periods : 9-18 sept (Théâtre of Bernardines and 1st district)
14-22 sept (Friche la Belle de Mai and 3rd district)
Each period is focused on a laboratory - the artists have time to build and refine their projects connected to the city - and RV communicated to the public.

The spirit of the 7th edition :
How do you continue to live in this world in crisis ?
What about consumer society in the climate of social collapse ?
What forms of individual and collective resistance can we experiment, as artists, in the public space ?
What does mean resistance in 2013 ?
What kind of artistic devices can we invent, what kind of artistic actions can we make in public space in order to live in another way in urban space ?

Artistic Fields :
All disciplines focused on Performance : Dance, Theatre, Urban arts, Visual arts, Installation-Performance, digital arts, architecture/Townplanning etc

Financial conditions :
Honorary fee : 500 €
We offer Accomodation, Food ; Technical and logistic help
We don’t cover for travel expenses but if you are selected, we can send to you an official invitation which can help you to receive money for travelling
