17MASDANZA takes place in Maspalomas, Gran Canaria 20-27 October 2012. The Choreography Contest is open to dancers worldwide for Solo, Duets and Groups.

The Registration Period is open until June 30.

The XVII Edition of MASDANZA presents a brand new option: For the very first time, the Festival will allow the participation of Duets in the Choreography Contest. Through the years, the Contests in MASDANZA have included the Solo and Group Choreography categories, the latter with a minimum of three performers. This year, and due to the increasing demand, the Organization will accept applications from pieces for two performers, opening this way even more the array of options for all those choreographers who wish to present their works in this Festival.

The International Contemporary Dance Festival of the Canary Islands, MASDANZA, was born in Gran Canaria, in 1996. Since its first beginnings in 1996, MASDANZA has consolidated itself year after year, going from a small regional festival, to national by the second, and then on to international from its sixth edition until now, spreading beyond our national borders and open to the participation of international choreographers and dancers.
