New Zealand | 2023 Arts Practitioners Fund connecting with Asia

The Asia New Zealand Foundation is open for applications from New Zealand-based arts practitioners for their Arts Practitioners Fund. The Fund is intended to deepen artistic and professional connections with Asia, including through residencies, work placements, research tours and exchanges. 

Eligibility

  • Individual artists, including visual artists, writers, musicians, choreographers, directors and performers
  • Individual arts managers, including curators, producers, programmers
  • New Zealand citizens or residents who intend to live in New Zealand for one year after the completion of the project

The funding is for current practitioners who have a track record of professional achievement.

What expenses can be funded?

  • Airfares
  • Professional guides
  • Accommodation
  • Listing costs
  • Ground transport
  • Fees (residency, conference, market registration)

Applicants may request up to 7,500 NZD.
