Niigata Art Festival 2012 | call for projects

Water and Land—Niigata Art Festival 2012: A Turning Point (hosted by the Water and Land—Niigata Art Festival Executive Committee) is now accepting proposals for various genres of site-specific artwork in the form of both 2D and 3D works, including videos and installations that will be presented indoors and outdoors, mainly around the lower reaches of the Shinano River and the surrounding areas throughout Niigata City. Selected projects will be displayed during Water and Land—Niigata Art Festival 2012.

Theme: A Turning Point

Niigata City is home to a unique regional history and landscape. Accepted artworks will both highlight and help reveal the beauty of Niigata City — a place blessed by land and water.

• Entry Fee ¥1,000 per proposal


• Display Period: Saturday July 14, 2012 － Monday December 24, 2012


• Budget: A maximum of ￥1,500,000 per a proposal will be granted
