Paris | 2023/2024 Artist-in-Residence programme for artists from Japan
Osaka Chishima Foundation for Creative Arts and Villa Kujoyama (Kyoto) are calling for applications from an artist, researcher, or curator living or working in the Kansai region to undertake a 3-month research and/or production residency in a studio located in the Cité Internationale des Arts in central Paris.
The Artist in Residence programme in Paris 2023/2024 is a bilateral residency programme organised by the Osaka Chishima Foundation for Creative Arts and Villa Kujoyama (Kyoto), in collaboration with Institut Français, Cité Internationale des Arts, and Kyoto Art Center.
The selected candidates will receive support from the above-mentioned cultural institutions for a 3-month research and/or production residency in a studio located in the Cité Internationale des Arts in central Paris.
The residency can take place October 2023–January 2024 or January 2024–April 2024.
Eligibility
- Inhabitant or person working mainly in the Kansai region
- Individual having activities as an artist, curator, or art critic
- All artistic disciplines
- No condition of nationality
Support provided
- A studio)
- Return flight tickets
- 100,000 JPY per month for living costs
- 200,000 JPY for research/production costs
- Advice from the organisers before/during the residency
