Call for site-specific art project proposals from international applicants for major public site in Paris, located near the National Library of France.


Semapa, an urban development company, of the Paris Rive Gauche area, in Paris’ 13th arrondissement, is calling for art projects from international applicants embracing every form of artistic creation. The artwork will be located nearby the François Mitterrand Library - National Library of France, on a public site currently under construction.

The project should draw on the specificities of its surroundings and contribute to both the attractivity and the centrality of this blooming urban area. The provisional budget, including fees and production costs, amounts to 600.000 euros, excluding taxes.

Candidates must complete and send their application before Friday, March 3rd 2012.
